Dr Anita Patel

BDS MJDF RCS (Eng) Dip Restorative Dental Practice (Eastman) - Principal Dentist

Anita graduated from the University of Bristol in 2005. Since qualifying she has worked in General Practice whilst undertaking a variety of postgraduate courses. She achieved her Membership of the Joint Dental Faculties of The Royal College of Surgeons of England in 2008 and achieved a Merit in the Diploma in Restorative Dental Practice at the Eastmans Dental Institute, London.

Anita’s interest is in providing an extremely high level of restorative dentistry that is both appropriate and reliable, and has carried out a variety of courses in aesthetic dentistry as well as Botox and Dermal Fillers Treatment. She is passionate about providing the highest level of care to all her patients, and is our Invisalign Provider at Apex Dental Care. Anita has recently become a Sure Smile Provider and aims to also provide this option to many of her patients. Anita has also recently undertook further training in 4D radiographs and is currently undertaking a Diploma in Endodontics (Root Canal Treatment)

Her aim is to ensure all patients feel completely comfortable and fully informed on all aspects of their treatment. She is truly dedicated to patient care.

Since taking over as Principal of Apex Dental Care in 2017 the practice has undergone refurbishment and advancement in technology. Anita is dedicated to providing the latest in dental care and treatment and is continuously updating treatments and protocols to meet the highest of clinical standards, whilst making patients feel confident and relaxed with the care provided. She is always open to ideas and suggestions on how service can be improved.

Anita prides herself on having a fantastic team at Apex Dental Care – so whether you require a simple check-up, hygiene care, cosmetic treatment or other specialised treatments – you can always be confident that you are in good hands. In her spare time Anita spends time with her husband and two children. She is a keen skier and enjoys all outdoor pursuits.

Dr Ramona Akhavan

BDS

Ramona has been at Apex Dental Care since 2010. She graduated from Kings College London in 2009. Ramona enjoys a wide variety of general dentistry , in particular treating children.

Ramona is committed to providing dental care with a sympathetic approach in a caring environment.
Outside of work Ramona is a busy mother and enjoys spending time with family.

Dr Ionel Nistor

DMD (Iasi), MClinDent OS (Lond), Cert.Imp.Dent (Lond)

Dr. Ionel Nistor qualified from the University of Iasi, Romania in 2011. He came to London in 2013 and worked in general dental practice, undertaking a wide variety of dental treatments mainly in private sector but also NHS. Since then he completed many post-graduate courses, always striving to enhance his skills in the field of oral surgery, restorative and cosmetic dentistry as well as laser dentistry.

He has a special interest in Oral Surgery and Implantology offering to his patients excellent natural-looking solutions of replacing missing teeth with dental implants. He completed his training in Implantology with the prestigious VSS Academy, London (2019), being able to treat simple implant cases as well as more advanced cases which would require guided bone regeneration techniques. He also completed a 3-year programme, Master in Clinical Dentistry in Oral Surgery with the BPP University, London (2020) aiming to progress towards more complex surgical implant procedures including extensive bone grafting, sinus lifting and “all-on-four” cases. He is also an active member of International Team for Implantology (ITI) getting involved into online case-based discussions and study clubs. He likes attending dental congresses, being always up to date with the latest information.

He is very meticulous in his work showing close attention to detail and enjoys treating more comprehensive restorative and cosmetic cases such as full mouth rehabilitations and smile makeovers.

His engaging and friendly nature will make even the most nervous patient feeling at ease in the dental chair. He is very approachable and understanding and he can tailor his dental treatments according to the patient individual needs.

Besides dentistry he enjoys travelling with his wife, going out with friends, swimming and playing table tennis.

Dr Mahesh Patel

F.D.S., R.C.S (Edin) M.Surg Dent R.C.S (Edin) Registered Specialist in Oral Surgery

Mahesh qualified in 1975 and soon after began postgraduate training at the highly renowned Eastman's Dental Institute, London. Ever since returning to general practice in 1979 he has dedicated his working life to education and the provision of the highest standards in dentistry.

Mr Patel is an extremely experienced implantologist, having placed more than 10,000 dental implants to date. He is a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh, a member of the British Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry and a fellow and diplomate of the International Congress of Oral Implantologists. He is an examiner for the Implant Diploma at Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh. His special interests include cosmetic dentistry, CEREC restorations, dental implants and all forms of oral surgery, including wisdom teeth removal, difficult extractions, all forms of gum surgery and use of laser for failing implants.

Dr Trevor Sher

BDS

Qualifying in South Africa in 1975 Trevor began practising in the UK in 1976. He is a very experienced dentist who has been in practice for 39 years in the UK. Happy to undertake most disciplines in dentistry however his special interest lies in Orthodontics.

The orthodontic treatments favoured include Cosmetic Aligner systems and Dr Sher is registered to treat patients using the Inman Aligner. Especially happy to treat children and nervous patients.

Undertaking a great deal of cosmetic dentistry including crowns, veneers, white fillings etc he has owned and run a number of successful dental surgeries over many years in the UK. Including accredited Investors In People surgery.

Married with 3 children and 3 grandchildren, he enjoys playing sport and attending the theatre as well as travelling.

Dr Anjali Shah

BDS. PG Cert (Aes Rest Dent)

Anjali qualified with a Bachelor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Manchester in 2016 and has since worked in general dental practice.

Anjali has a keen interest in all aspects of general dentistry, especially composite restorations. She thrives on providing excellent patient care; providing treatment that is comfortable, functional, and aesthetic. Anjali obtained a Post Graduate certificate in Advanced Aesthetic Restorative Dentistry in 2021 from the prestigious Aspire Dental Academy.

She has lots of experience working with a variety of patients, carrying out appropriate and reliable treatment is very important to her. Anjali has an empathetic nature, she is particularly good at working with children, who feel reassured by her calm persona. Outside of work Anjali loves to paint, create handcrafted decorations, read novels, and spend time with her family.

Mrs Mandana Roshanrou

Hygienist

Mandana attained a dual qualification in Dental Hygiene and Therapy from Queen Mary University of London in 2011. She performs preventive gum screenings, treats active gum disease and carries out regular hygiene maintenance visits. She incorporates high standard of treatment and provides personalised, thorough patient education about the most effective home hygiene habits.

Mandana continues to enhance her professional development by attending dental courses and conferences. She is certified to carry out tooth whitening a procedures and promotes oral health education to all age groups.

Privately, she is a personal trainer and enjoys spending time in the gym and helping friends and family stay fit.
